Book ReviewMaster of Light Ansel Adams and His Influences
The book contains photographs of Ansel Adams National Park Service photographs and it also includes information about Ansel and his influences, such as fine art photography, documentary photography in America and photographs by other photographers such as Paul Strand. The photographs included within this book are all black and white because he focused mainly on the lighting of the visual and made colour irrelevant in his work.

'Half Dome, Apple Orchard, Yosemite National Park, 1933'
The image is an apple orchard tree covered in snow. The central focus to this image is of the apple orchard tree, this is because it fills the whole of the image and because it fills the whole image your eyes are drawn to it more. The shapes within this image are organic because of the trees in the foreground and the mountain in the background. The lighting is a key aspect within this image, as it is with all of Ansel Adam's photographs. The lighting within this image is brighter in the foreground because of the snow. The snow helps with the contrast between the background and the shadows because it really makes itself stand out more because of how dark the background and shadows are.
